We are delighted to share our 2022 Annual Report, which aims to provide our stakeholders with an overview of our deliverables in the past year. This includes details about significant programme developments, survey activities, key performance indicators, client and surveyor evaluation data, and a summary of surveyor findings.
2022 was an exceptionally busy year for ISQua EEA, with a record number of surveys undertaken – 48 in total. We were delighted to welcome new clients from Bahrain, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). We were also pleased to be able to recommence onsite organisational surveys; surveyors began to travel onsite from June 2022 onwards, and in 2023, all organisational surveys are scheduled as onsite surveys.
We launched two new programmes at the ISQua conference in Brisbane, Australia:
The 1st Edition of the Guidelines and Standards for Standards Recognition Programmes was published in October 2022. This new programme is separate from the IAP and was developed to facilitate the assessment of health and social care standards that focus on a specific clinical service or aspect of care. Through this new programme, standards-developing bodies can demonstrate that their specialised health and social care standards have been developed in accordance with international best practice taking into consideration evidence-based guidelines, legislative requirements, expert knowledge and stakeholder engagement.
The 1st Edition of the Guidelines and Standards for Quality and Patient Safety Training Programmes was also launched simultaneously. This new programme is positioned within the IAP and aims to facilitate the assessment of quality and patient safety training programmes. The scope of this ISQua EEA external evaluation programme includes continuous professional development courses or training programmes in quality and patient safety or related topics.
